Originally released as a limited-edition collection in 2011, Balcones 1 Texas single malt whiskey has become an ongoing offering from Balcones Distillery, and for good reason.Aged for 2 years with a 100% mash bill of malted barley and a proof of 106, this exclusive quality, multi-layered malt offers up the heady flavor and authentic Texas spirit. The nose is a bough of sweetly buttered stone fruit with swathes of ripe banana and baked pears coated in wildflower honey, delicate rose-petal water, and vibrant citrus. The taste is silky smooth with a brush of lightly fire-toasted bread, melted butter, and freshly crushed citrus fruits preserves.
